How much Folic acid should be in a Prenatal vitamin?
I was checking my Prenatal vitamins that were prescribed by my doctor. It contains 1mg of Folic Acid. Shouldn't there be more? Or is that more important after you've conceived? I would think since my doctor prescribed it, it would be fine... I was just surprised. Maybe someone can inform me. Thanks!
I did some research and it's actually 800-1,000mcg if your pregnant. My multivitamin that I was taking before I got pregnant had 400mcg and now my prenatal vitamins have 800mcg, but 1mg actually equals 1,000mcg. So your fine your getting the right amount.
